Honoring Nana Kamau Kambon: The Bennu Center Launch and a Legacy of Black Liberation

The Kamau Kambon Black liberation legacy lives in every stone, every word, and every vision that shaped the Bennu Center. On September 5, 2025, the Kambon family opens the doors to something sacred. This is more than a soft opening. It is a declaration that Black people deserve spaces built entirely for them, by them, and in honor of their ancestors.

Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Bakari Kambon and the Kambon family invite you to witness this historic moment. The Bennu Center stands as a site for healing, glamping, learning, and deep Afrikan cultural resurgence. Furthermore, this gathering honors Nana Abibifahodie — Baba Kamau Kambon — on the anniversary of his sunrise into this world. His decades of unapologetic scholarship and warrior spirit breathed life into this dream. As a result, this tribute carries the full weight of Abibifahodie — Black liberation in its most grounded, most sacred form.

A Sacred Space Rooted in Kamau Kambon’s Black Liberation Vision

The Bennu Center is an exclusively Black space. It does not compromise. It does not apologize. Instead, it rises — just as Baba Kamau Kambon taught us to rise. The Bennu, a symbol of resurrection and renewal from ancient Kmt, gives this center its name and its spirit. In addition, this event features powerful messages, visuals, and spirit-centered sharing that will stir something deep in every participant. Most importantly, you do not have to travel to take part. Attend live online and receive the full power of this experience from wherever you stand on this earth.

This moment belongs to every Afrikan person who has ever longed for a space that sees them fully. The Kmtyw built civilizations. Our elders carried the flame. Now, the Kambon family passes that flame forward through the Bennu Center. Therefore, do not miss this tribute to one of Black liberation’s most fearless voices.
